Some housework...

I´ve been making tiles for the floor in the diningroom. Cut out of painted paper for water coloring and glued on to wallpaper... It´s not finished yet as you can see, but I´ve put it in the room with some of the furnitures to get a sense of the result. Am I satisfied? Hmm...don´t now yet.

Then I´ve patinatede the frontdor and a few windows. I like the look of it, so now I just have to do all windows on the the front. Still need some facadepainting too...´
Promised Susanne a picture of the inside of the house. As you can see it´s a clutter, but I´ve put some things in every room to see if that´s the way it´s going to be placed one day.

Bottom floor: Kitchen, hall and maybe an erotic/lingeri store
First floor: Diningroom and salon/lounge
Second floor: Bedroom and a luxurious bathroom
Third floor: The alchemy room where the lovepotin and massage oils are made, a sewing room where corset and other lingeri items are sewn and then a study/library.

Overwhelmed...

I had mail today from Susanne... Thank you, thank you, thank you so much Susanne...

I am totally overwhelmed by the gifts she send me. Every tiny thing is a treasure that I´ll love to make small tableaus with as my dollhouse progresses. Allthough I have to admit that one thing is just a bit more treasured than others... and that´s the skull. I have to give him an honered place in the diningroom... and maybe find a name for him.

Christmasgift...

As you probably know, Susanne and I have a gift swap every second day. Todays gift for Susanne is these two candleholders with candles... Unfortunately she will have to wait to recieve until after christmas due to the snowstorm and me having H1N1...

Wallpaper...

Found this link with fantastic free wallpapers. This pattern I love! What kind of paper and glue do you recommend to avoid wrinkles?

Productive day...

Almost glued my fingers together making this creme/copper theme with more christmas ornaments. I found the copper beadcaps in my hidings and found other things for the candleholder and a jewelry rack. The dish in front is an old button with a beadcap to hide the holes...

Christmas ornaments...

A simple tutorial for making christmas ornaments. You need different kinds of beads, small flower beads, small crimps beads, gauge and glue. Hope the pictures show how... Your welcome to ask questions. Have fun :0)

I could wish for...

... this one, and this one, and this.... these adorable lamps and chandeliers are made by Cilla Hallbert

Finishing touch...

I´ve finally got a result which I´m satified with. But the stairs aren´t attaced yet, I may change the color a bit. I´ve glued on the flooring paper and skirting boards. I still need some finishing details like a new hatstand, a coat, some shoes, an umbrella, a leather suitcase, some tiny letters, keys and other necessities for the tray, pictures, doorhandles, lightning ... and... and.... and...

Pale and boring...

One wall painted, much too pale and boring. I want a darker more mysterious look... Going for dark grey this time...

Making decisions...

I´ve made a decision to go for the painted floor... I actually like the color. Yesterday I painted the furniture black, found a few stuff to put in the room to get a sense of the final look. Today I transformed the color of the vase. It used to be white, now it´s dusty green with a touch of black and gold wash...
I simply has no idea about color or look for the walls yet. Just that I don´t want a floral or romantik look. Maybe a grey wash... what do you think?

Raven...

Found this absolutely fabulous german artist who makes the most beautiful miniature animals. I would love to have a raven like this in Obsidian Hall.

The raven is a magic bird to which I have a strong connection. As a believer of the old norse religion and of Odin, the raven has a special meaning to me. I used to have a tipi-company with my husband called "Ravens Nest"...

Painted floortiles...

I´ve been painting floortiles on wallpaper. Though I´m satified with the color which is greenish/beige with a with wash, I´m unsure about the look. It looks painted and not like single tiles put together. I havn´t decided what to do with the walls and stairs may be repainted. Please tell med what you think...
