Spring is coming...

Though it´s raining outside my windows today, I can feel that spring has arrived to tiny Denmark. My birds houses in the garden is being inspected by new residents and early spring flowers are coloring the soil beneath the threes.
Today I´ve made cardboard birds houses and some "zink" garden items. The flowers I made when Susanne and I was having a mini-making-come-together a few days ago, and the rusty chair of course is left over material from that same day :0)

A welcome to my new followers. Hope you´ll find something inspiring in here, and I´ll be more than happy if you´ll leave me a comment once in a while.

Warm welcome to:

Yesterday I recieved this fabulous furniture from the swedish miniature company Minimi´ smått och sånt. They have a lot of beautiful miniatures. Take a look at their webshop. The orchids, roses and seeds are also from Minimi´s. The furniture and flowers are my first buy for my future conservatory...

I really need...

Spring coming closer reminds me of a desperate need in my miniature life. I need to get a conservatory....badly! I´ve previously had a deep desire for the Sid Cooke conservatory kit that Michelle is making, but yesterday I found a german website with beautiful decadent metal and glass conservatories, and the fact that it´s not a DIY kit is very tempting... Unfortunately they don´t reveal their prices on the page, and I guess it might be because it´s veeeeeery expensive...

My worktable has been flowering for the last few days. This time I´ve tried coloring crepe paper for hydrangeas. I´m pretty satisfied with the result, though I could use a slightly bigger leaf punch too. So that I would have two different sizes of leafs.

Mrs. Hyacint...

I´ve had my first go at making flowers. I bought a punch very useful for making hyacints. The pitcher with the 3 hyacints is a small gift for a dear co-worker who have been sick for a while. Funny thing is that her husband makes miniature trains and landscapes 1:12...! I would love to see his work one day.
Did you actually spot an angel on a heathen blog? Oh yeah... and it´s also a gift. For Susanne schyyyy....but don´t tell her, she don´t know yet ;0)
Off to work...bye!

Opdate on wallpaper...

As you know, I´ve had some serious difficulties finding a wallpaper that would suit the Master Bedroom. I´ve tried this... but found it to pale and boring
Then I tried to paint the wall a deep plum color, but when I made the flooring, I hated the look. Yesterday I went shopping and found this scrapbooking paper, very cheap and I love the fainted tones. Unfortunately the picture doesn´t show the true color. It´s thick almost like cardboard and very easy to work with. Scrapbook paper comes in lots of different types and colors and are often two sided, so remember to take a look on the backside when you go to your local paper pusher... I´m now wating for the mail to arrive with a new dresser, some bedtables and some other small stuff for the room...
And then an update on the comments from my previous post about wallpaper. Thanks to all of you for given your opinion and comments. @Kassandra: You asked for the link to the paper. You can find that and many more at: A great site with lots of free wallpapers. @Norma: Funny thing is that the paper I used previously is number 75 as you recommended.
