Inspiration photo and a silent sigh...

This photo is going to be on of my inspiration sources for the ladies salon in Obsidian Hall.
I have to keep my head busy these days. Tomorrow morning is the end of 14 nervewrecking days waiting to see whether I´m fired from my job or not. I´ll ask for my gods to give me strength and courage, and today I found two clovers with four leaves to bring me luck...*sigh* Hopefully that´ll help along with a glass of redwine...or two.

Skirting boards and details...

I´ve been making skirting boards out of cardboard, and added more details to the shop interior.
I´m still waiting for a few furniture pieces to arrive. And then I have a lot of ideas for tiny stuff to fill into the cabinet, on the shelves and on the walls. But I´m really satisfied with the result so far.

Evening open...

A preview of the shop... Still not finished at all, but the wallpaper is up, shelves are up and some stuff put in place. I´m waiting for the mailman to bring me a new sofa and some other small things. I still need a lot of details like ex. skirting boards.

What the pizzaman brought...

Actually it wasn´t the pizzaman, but the mailman that brought me these wonderful scrapbooking papers in a pizzabox. Thanks Ira for introducing me to Graphic 45... I´ve used scrapbooking paper as wallpaper before and love that it´s so easy to work with. I´ve chosen the dark grey for my Gypsy Boudoir Shop, though I was in doubt if I was to choose the striped instead. See ya... I´m of glueing!

Tiled pavement...

I´ve used airdrying clay for making the pavement outside my shop... Now is only waiting for it to dry and hope that it won´t shrink to much.

Putting things together...

Just for fun! I´ve been playing with putting different things together and taking a few photos...

Awards...

Thanks to Lena who very kindly has given me an award. As much as I love being appreciated, I hate to pass the award on. That´s why I have chosen to but a text in my sidebar and say: Thanks... but no thank you. I hope I don´t offend you Lena and others by doing this.

Needs...

A woman has needs. This is a small one of mine...

And with this, I hope to be able to catch the ambience in one corner of my shop...

Cabinet renewed...

Painted and decorated this cabinet for my Gypsy Boudoir Shop... It used to be mahogany with plastic in front.

Tabletop and hatpins...

I´ve had this old broken glass box for at least twenty years and I´ve often thought about throwing it away. But I´m a collector and I´m so happy I didn´t get rid of it. Today I made a new top and some small items to go into the Gypsy Boudoir. I spiced it up with some of the pretty things Ira gave me. Thinks it´s going to be the centerpiece in the shop.

More dirtying up...

Today I haven´t had time for mini-ing. The summer temperatures has arrived and I decided to spend some hours doing a bit of gardening. But yesterday I took a picture of the shop facade after patinating. I haven´t finished the paintwork on the door and the glass for both door and windows are going to be decorated. I´ve decided to use some handmade paper for waalpaper, but I had only a piece with cuts, so I'll have to take a trip to town one day, hopefully next week...

Shopfloor...

Today I finished the floor in the shop. I´ve laid a lot of tiles before but only 1:1 scale, but in 1:12 it´s first time. I´m so happy with the result. It has exactly the warm and soft colour I hope for.

The first picture is just painted and glued to the cardboard. On the second picture I started dirtying it. Third picture the floor is very dirty and I had to give it a creme wash to lighten it up. Last two pictures are the finished result...

Oh my ...!!!

Today the mail-woman brought me so many fantastic treasures from Ira. Thanks a million Ira, I love love love love..... all these adorable things. They are perfectly chosen for my shop and I can´t wait to arrange it all in my Gypsy Boudoir.
I´m making something in return, but I´ll keep it secret until Ira recieves it ;0)

Finally...

Finally I recieved the shop... It arrived yesterday and immidiately I had to unpack it and start planning the colour theme and deside which parts to paint. Gave it the first coat of paint, think it might need 3 coats to cover and then I´ll dirty it up.
I´m not sure whether I´ll keep the terasse at the top, I might build a shet, a greenery or maybe a loftroom...

Tried different colours and patterns for the interior flooring, but I like this 3 colour combination...
