Ohhhh woooow...

Once again I´m drawn as a winner... What on earth have I done to deserve this luck? Thank you Sonya, for making this beautiful giveaway...

My one and only wish for more luck, is that we won´t have to make a very difficult decision concerning my husbands father. That he´ll suddenly get well. We might know more this afternoon, but I think I´ll probably have to go away for some days to stay with him and the rest of my husbands family. I´m off to work very soon... Have a nice day all of my minifriends around the world!

I´m the lucky winner...

Just realized that I´ve won Marie's pretty shabby giveaway. I feel very fortunate... Thanks Marie, I'll look forward to recieve it :0)

As some of you have noticed, I´ve been a bit quiet for a while. My husbands father is still very very sick, and we´re worried that we might soon have to say goodbye to him. Though it´s painful til loose a loved one, the world still turns and life goes on. That´s a fact.

It´s also a fact that tomorrow it's my birthday and to celebrate that, and the fact that I´ve reached 204 followers, I´ll make a giveaway... Stay tuned for tomorrow!

H C Andersen...

I guess you all know Hans Christian Andersen, and heard or read some of his fairytales for children. What you might not know about this worldknown danish author is that he was a very peculiar man. He suffered from anxiety and hypocondria. His dairy notes indicates that he was bisexual and small crosses by the dates in the dairy is interpreted as marks for how many times he masturbated.
The photo on top shelve is the house in Odense where he was born. Pictures of the lady is his great love The swedish opera singer Jenny Lind, to whom he had a platonic relationship. In the drawer are some of the letters he wrote for Jenny. Some of his books in danish and of course his hat...

Taking progress...

My Gypsy Boudoir Shop is progressing. I´ve spend days on painting and patinating and planning on the finished look. So delighted with the colors. I love the faded and natural tones.
Today I made the sign above the door, but when I saw the photos, I wasn´t quite satified. Think I´ll redo it on a thick cardboard. But I´m so satisfied with the decoration on the windows, still need to finish the other window. Wonder if Susanne can guess what I´ve used for the decor ;0)
The terasse on the roof is going to be an outdoor part of the shop, filled with brocante garden stuff. The greenhouse is probably going to be exchanged with a pavillion...

Brocante garden...

I´ve been painting and added 'age' to some chairs and shutters. The fern posters are from Graphics Fairy and the big silver plate is a very treaured gift from Susanne.

Back on miniature track...

I haven´t done any mini-ing for month. Not for any reason other that having my mind and time occupied somewhere else. Yesterday I spend the day with Susanne, we went minishopping, and she gave me a gift with lots of ministuff. Being in her home, and seing all the stuff she been making lately inspired me a great deal. Today my husband had to go away for some days, to see his father who is very ill and hospitalized. I cannot join him these days, but he and my father in law is on my mind all the time. Luckily I had the miniature work for keeping my thoughts busy instead of worrying to much. I lightened up the Master bedroom by painting the fireplace, and change a few things. Think I´m going to buy a big wardrobe instead to replace the drawer.
