Taking progress...

My Gypsy Boudoir Shop is progressing. I´ve spend days on painting and patinating and planning on the finished look. So delighted with the colors. I love the faded and natural tones.
Today I made the sign above the door, but when I saw the photos, I wasn´t quite satified. Think I´ll redo it on a thick cardboard. But I´m so satisfied with the decoration on the windows, still need to finish the other window. Wonder if Susanne can guess what I´ve used for the decor ;0)
The terasse on the roof is going to be an outdoor part of the shop, filled with brocante garden stuff. The greenhouse is probably going to be exchanged with a pavillion...

  1. The colours you've chosen are lovely and I really like the shabby effect you've given the paintwork. This is nice!

The colors are very nice. And I like the bird houses.

  5. Dear Annie
You are my all times favourite miniature maker! Yes, I guessed it, but only when I looked twice after seeing your question. It´s that tape-ribbon, brown velvet like, that I bought a long time ago. It´s genious, because I thought it was wood the first time, I looked.
It will be so great, and your sign is great too.
    Love, Susanne

  6. Annie - so beautiful!! What I would do with your sign is soften the black a bit (a little paler?) and maybe highlight one side of each letter to give it a 3-D effect. the windows are fabulous - love the decorative bits!

Marion... Thanks to you too :0)

Susanne...and you are my alltime best mini buddy ;0) You've guessed right!! When you gave me the ribbon I didn't know what to use it for, but it's just perfect for decorations like this. Thanks again!

Cynthia...thank you, also for the great suggestions for my sign. I´ll improve maybe tomorrow...

    Thank you Gonda :0)

And also thanks to you Heleni, for the nice respond.

  10. I would like to add something original to this long list of compliments, but obviously I can only say: great job!
I really like the character you chose to teach in art nouveau ...
The black stands on the very aged patina ...
The decoration on the windows is perfect (Susanne is happy!) And throughout the store is very inviting...

  11. ..Thanks Annie, the use of the "ribbon" means, that it will also be perfect the other way around...used as a stencil for "painting"...
I think I will try that on a few windows ;-)

Did you get my email of a few weeks ago (when you were on 'blog break') re the budoir pillows? If not I can resend the pics. If you don't want them I can use them in my brocante :)

Espero no haberte ofendido.
