Magnolia Pearls lounge...

Yesterday I promised you a post about my idea for one of the rooms in Obsidian Hall. The ladies lounge. Words like bohemian, faded decadence, gypsystyle, romantic, floral, laces ...

I've kept a photo for a long time, which captured some of the feeling I wanted. But I wanted more... much more. An overload of feminine bohemian tattered luxurious treasures. And Norma gave it to me, she posted a link in one of her comments. She led me to Magnolia Pearl...
I'm drooling!

Vanity cases...

I bought some really beautiful kits from Miniature Kits in UK and they even send an extra kit as a gift :0) Take a look at their webshop. The glove kit and the vanity case kit is just adorable. Making the red vanity case was so fun, that it inspired me to make a few more cases using some snakeskins Susanne once send me. I'm so pleased with the result of using my own scrap of materials and colours I love...
Tomorrow I'll make a post inspired by a link Norma gave me. Thanks a million Norma for Magnolia Pearls... I'm stunned!!!

Lady Godiva and a blanket...

I wanted to add more warmth to the livingroom, and wanted a blanket in colours that matched the painting of Lady Godiva. I would have loved a blanket as the one draped on her horses bag. Red with gold lions. I knew I wouldn't find something similar when I searched the house for matching fabrics, but suddenly my eye fell on my 1:1 blanket. It is wowen in orange/red/green and yellow colours, perfect and in a second I've cut 10 cm off.

Livingroom progressing...

The livingroom is slowly progressing. I still need a lot work done. I havn't yet decided on what to do with the flooring. There's a stairs in the room, and I'ts all black, but that's not how I want I to be. I just don't know which part I want black, grey, brown or...Do you have any suggestions?

Inspired by Susanne...

It´s not a secret that I love every tiny piece that Susanne from Miniature Dreams makes. Her rusty theme inspired me to make a few things for her, but I got caught in an ocean of vintage golden inspiration and painted and patinated a lot of other stuff for my livingroom.

So....Susanne my friend, the 3 flowers sticks in the beige pot is for you. Hope you´ll like them.

It used to be walnut and romantic peach chintz, now it´s crackled golden and black
and fits perfectly into the curiosity livingroom :0)

Fragile but exquisite...

Today I recived a fragile package from UK. I´ve bought some really pretty porcelain items and glassware from Tumdee, but unfortunately a few things were broken when it arrived by my door. But beside that I´m more than thrilled by the quality of every piece I´ve bought. I even got a gift. A big glass jar filled with colorfull sweets.
I took the images in the old curiousity livingroom which I´m redoing, before I even finished it at the first time. I repainted the walls, and I´m really pleased with the result. Now I´m making panels to the walls. Fireplace and panels aren't finished being painted. I hope to be able to make it all look old and tattered.
I also recieved a package from Italy. The giveaway I won from Sonya. So delicate and pretty shabby things. Thank you so much Sonya! As soon as I opened the package I knew I'll have to make a shabby room with a blue-ish theme one day.

Followers and a follow up...

Ohhh wow....The number of new followers and participants of my giveaway are growing fast. I´m so pleased that I still get new followers and I want to welcome you all to Obsidian Hall. Hope you´ll enjoy your stay and probably find something to inspire you.

And thanks to all of your kind wishes for my father in law. He has regained consiousness and are getting a tiny bit better day by day. It´s still like keeping balance on a thin line, but the doctors are doing a great job.

I found some pretty crochet laces in a second hand store the other day. On the table is a gift from Susanne. The golden cutlery in basket and napkins with beautiful napkin rings. The lovely toscan tile to use on the table for hot things, are the same as she used for the tiled floor in her hall.
