Lady Godiva and a blanket...

I wanted to add more warmth to the livingroom, and wanted a blanket in colours that matched the painting of Lady Godiva. I would have loved a blanket as the one draped on her horses bag. Red with gold lions. I knew I wouldn't find something similar when I searched the house for matching fabrics, but suddenly my eye fell on my 1:1 blanket. It is wowen in orange/red/green and yellow colours, perfect and in a second I've cut 10 cm off.

  1. When we start to walk around the house, pointing to objects on a scale of 1 / 1 to obtain 1 / 12 ... is the end!
    Scissors become a deadly weapon!
I can only approve your decision to sacrifice 10cm blanket, but what does your husband say when he sees tents, blankets and rugs, punched?!
    A big hug ;-)

  2. *LOL* Flora... You are so right, scissors can become a dangerous weapon when looking for suited materials. I have to admit, that I didn't come clean with my husband before cutting the blanket, but I guess he don't mind this time, as the blanket were tucked away in the attic ;0)

  9. Hi! You have very interesting interior with the painting of Lady Godiva! This Lady has a very "moving history". We "met with her" some years ago in Coventry...

  10. It's perfect! Well worth the sacrifice I'd say (but then that's easy for me because it's not my blanket!)

Annie, you must visit this site and see this amazing gypsy caravan

And I have an embarrassing confession to make - I haven't mailed your pillows yet because I can't find them!!! I put them away when I tied up a lot of small pieces and I don't know which box they are hiding in :( As soon as they reappear I'll let you know and get them in the mail. This is the perfect of example of why it is so dangerous to tidy one's things - and is the reason I do it so seldom ;)

  12. Espero que la manta 1:1 te siga abrigando a tí. El trozo que has usado en el salón es perfecto, me encanta.
