I will reveal my newest project or at least some of my ideas and inspirations for my next shop. I´m planning a Borgin and Burkes shop.
Description from the Harry Potter Lexicon: Just around the corner from Diagon Alley lies a dark, twisting alleyway devoted to the Dark Arts: Knockturn Alley. Some way down Knockturn Alley at number 13B lies Borgin & Burkes, the most notorious of the alley's shops, which specializes in "objects with unusual and powerful properties", and particularly items that are both "unusual and ancient". The shop is quite large, dusty, and dimly lit, with a large stone fireplace, and is known to be frequented by families like the Malfoys. Its proprietors, Mr. Borgin and Caractacus Burke, are smooth talkers known to buy magical objects for much less than they're worth, and sell them for far more. From the shops and the street vendors one can purchase, among other things, shrunken heads, poisonous candles, human-looking fingernails, and Flesh-Eating Slug Repellent.
Photos found on the internet for inspiration.

As you have probably noticed, I have changed my blogger layout. I found the background on Itkupelli. It´s called "Vanitas" and is a selfportrait painted by David Bailly. A little Vanitas Wiki here.
I do have a thing for the vanitas paintings and yesterday I thought I would make a go at creating a new header to go with the background. Unfortunately I had no rotten fruit nor bubbles in the air...

I have promised Reiko to show her my ribbon spools. The round spools I made a few days ago. The cards with ribbon was the type I searched for the other day. These I made a couple of years ago and I still haven´t found quite the right cards I´m looking for. But Martin that used to have the danish miniaturepage "mini1til12" is hopefully able to help me.

I have had a lot of troubles commenting on Blogger lately, and I know I´m not the only one. Yesterday I read somewhere, that downloading Google Chrome should fix the problems. Hope Google Chrome is the key to fixing my troubles.
Talking about keys... I have listed a set of keys on the webshop today :0)

A couple of years ago I made this sewing scene. I found a miniature print for the tiny vintage trim cards but... I lost the print when my old computer died. Now I´m working on items for a vintage sewing trunk and have desperately searched the internet for the print. Can anyone help me with a link?

Bea commented on the tulips in glass in my last blog entry. Those tulips are actually real flowers picked in my garden yesterday. Maybe you also have the same miniature tulips growing in your garden.... The botanical name is Sedum Telephium. The flower can be dried hanging head down. An old danish saying is, that you have to pick 2 flowers on midsommer evening, one for you and one for your loved one. Hang them side by side under the ceiling. If they bend towards each other when dry you will get the man you love. Otherwise if they turn away from each other you won´t get your loved one.

What is happening? Two blogposts in one day? I just had to show you my autumn theme. The birds bath with water and dead leaves will be added to The Gypsy Boudoir Shop tomorrow. I will also add a garden set as the one on the shelf. I played around with making pumpkins this afternoon. I carved one
and cut eyes and mouth...
I have been working on my backyard project. The tiles are finished but I think I´ll have to do add some moss and dandelions here and there. I had some old shelves hidden in my stash that I found useful for pots, seeds and garden ornaments. The door has got an enemal sign and a mailbox with todays paper.

Dear mini friends and followers. I´m so sorry I´ve been absent from the blog for such long time, but life has kept me busy and drained of my creative flow. Hope your are still out there.
I am slowly getting on the mini mood again and have been fiddling with a new project. The Gypsy Boudoir Shop is expanding with a small backyard.
