Time capsule...

In my search for inspiration pictures for The French Mouse Mansion, I fell across this wonderful picture. The picture hides a story so amazingly that I need to share it with you. The story about an abandoned apartment i Paris, left for 70 years before reentered...

Thought I´d lost it...

For a while I havn´t been blogging, nor have I even been making miniatures. I thought I´d lost the spark of making minis. But fortunately I feel a slight touch of inspiration coming back to me.
Thinking about what went wrong if anything did. I guess I got sick of producing my miniatures for sale, making the same item again and again made me bored. I love developing new items and have loads of ideas, but for a while I´ll be making miniatures for myself to keep. I´m not closing my shop and I will still be selling a few items on Etsy, but I won´t be producing on orders for a while.

Crepé roses...

Today I made my second attempt on making roses. I admit that I´m quite enchanted and a bit envious of Lea Frisonis wonderful bouquets. Inspired by her blog and pictures in her book (since I don´t understand a word french), I had another go, and actually I´m pretty satisfied with the result. I have coloured more paper and hope to find some sparetime to work on my improvements tomorrow.

Furniture makeover...

Just a few pictures of a couple of furnitures I´ve been redecorating. A shelving unit and a table. Both used to be brown. Now they are painted, sanded and had some new handles instead of the original.

One of the finest miniatures ever...

While almost every miniaturist in Denmark were attending the dollhouse fair at Farum, I was assisting my daughter and son in law at the birth of their first child, and my first grandchild. He is the most precious little boy and a fine speciment of miniature.... A real treasure!!!

La Brocanteuse update...

Thanks to all of you wonderful ladies for your lovely comments on my previous blog post and your wishes for my health. It really makes me happy to know that you are still following my blog, though I´m not to good at updating regulary.

Yesterday I recieved the shelve and table for La Brocanteuse. I wasn´t sure whether to paint it white or give it an oak stain. I decided to go for the oak theme to match the floor. I will update with pictures and detailed explainations the following day...

La Brocanteuse

Being at home  immobilized with a bursitis trochanterica ;0) I decided to go a long with a idea that had been in my head for a while. This is the first pictures of what I have done so far. Some of you might recognize the shop, it originally started out as "Borgin and Burkes" from Harry Potter, but now it´s redone as a brocante shop "La Brocanteuse". The interior is just put in to get a sense of how the shop interior will be later on. I´m waiting for the mail to bring a couple of new shelves and still have lots of mini´s to put in.

Long time no see...

Dear friends out there. I´m so sorry I haven´t had the miniature blogging spirit for a while. I have issues in life to fight with like everyone else, but this time it has really caught my breath and energy. I´m here, well and fit for preparing the miniature fair at Farum in April. Here´s a look at some of the thing I´m working on and will be selling at the fair. A spring theme with garden items. I´m working on flower kits and finished flowers for sale. The shed is for displaying my things at the fair.
